2007: Parkview awarded $3,512,141.00 in scholarships
Parkview Arts/Science Magnet High School is a school like no other you have experienced. We are "The Best By Choice," and the waiting list for our school is incredible. And why wouldn't it be? This is not your average school. Throw out the standard picture you have in your mind of a school, of a teacher, of an administrator. Our teachers are excited about teaching, and challenge their students. Our student body is diverse, artistic, creative, academically challenged, and involved. Our administrators are helpful to parents, and supportive of the teachers. Our students are successful, in fact, our graduating class of 2007 - 242 students in all - were awarded a remarkable $3,512,141.00 in scholarships for the fall.

Things are always hopping at Parkview - and we take pride in the differences that set us apart - and ahead - of the rest of the high schools in the state. Our drama department, which includes one of the few Mime classes in the south offers several productions in the community. Among the drama department's annual theater billings are Murder Mystery Dinner Theater, Tales From the Crypt in Mount Holly Cemetery, Medieval Feast at the Pulaski County Courthouse, and Rendezvous at Pinnacle Park. The Spring Musical, as always, will be an outstanding production comparable to any professional group in the city. In addition, we have an award winning visual arts program, an orchestra, a piano lab, band, marching band, jazz band, a large choral department, and dance studios in the school. But not all are creative and artistic endeavors.

Parkview also offers courses in Pre-AP AP chemistry, biology, physics for our science magnet students. Other courses include organic chemistry, qualitative analysis, geology and space, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, environmental health, statistics and technical writing. Parkview's curriculum was developed in conjunction with the University of Arkansas and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - and emphasizes students who want to go into the medical profession.
