Hall High School is known as the Newcomer’s Center for the Little Rock School District’s secondary students.  This means that all secondary students enrolled in the Little Rock School District whose native language is not English are placed at Hall High School.

ESL stands for English as a Second Language, and the students who are enrolled in this program are the ones whose families have moved to the United States from a foreign country, and whose native language is not English.  The ESL program includes courses taught by teachers with training in each subject area.

For more information on our ESL program, contact Ms. Sharon VanPelt, the ESL coordinator, at 447-1900.  You can also e-mail her:  sharon.vanpelt@lrsd.org.
